Shareholders of the Central African States Development Bank have reaffirmed their support for the bank for the continuation of reforms initiated under the 2023-27 strategic plan « Azobé » this was during the meeting of the general assembly of the bank in Douala – Cameroon on December 20, 2023 under the chairmanship Mr. Fortunato – Ofa Mbo Nchama, the minister of finance and budgets of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
During the working session, Mr. Dieudonné Evou Menkou, president of BDEAC repotted the matters of agenda which mainly focused on the reforms initiated within the framework of the 2023-2027 « Azobé » strategic plan. When examining this point, the shareholders appreciated the development observed in 2023 which include the approval of finance amounting to 267 billion FCFA, the adoption of 10 policies and chatters to strengthen governance of the bank as well as the establishment of risk committee.
The shareholders also congratulated the chairman of the General Assembly and the Board of Directors of the results attained so far. When closing the working session, Mr. Fortunato Ofa Mbo Nchama expressed his thanks to the highest Cameroonian authorities for the warm and fraternal welcome which was reserved to all participants in the General Assembly as well as the material and security made available for the stability of the meeting.
